  2. Register By Fax!  Print out the appropriate registration form here, fill in all necessary information including credit card info and FAX to: 770-429-3178. Registration forms are available in Adobe Acrobat format.

  3. Register By Mail!  Simply print out the appropriate registration form here and mail it along with your check. Registration forms are available in Adobe Acrobat format.

POLICIES:

  • No refunds are given unless the coordinator cancels the course.

  • Classes are held based on enrollment. If a class is canceled due to low enrollment your registration fee will be refunded in the manner in which you paid.

  • Classes will not be held if the schools are closed or dismissed early due to inclement weather or other emergencies. Missed classes will be rescheduled.

  • Rain checks are issued before the start of the class, after class starts no rain checks are issued.

  • Registrations are accepted until the class is full.

  • It is the policy of the Marietta Board of Education not to discriminate on the basis of age, sex, race, color, religion, national origin, marital status, disability or any other legally protected status in its educational programs, activities or employment practices. Child and Babysitting Safety with CPR Certification
Join us for a fun filled adventure into the world of Babysitting. We will learn about setting up your business, including how much you should get paid. Learn about safety for yourself and the children you care for. We will also work on your magic bag of crafts, books and other essentials you should bring. We will address what information you will need to have about the children, emergency numbers and contacts. We will do lots of hands on activities: diaper changing, baby feeding, bath time, bed time, and CPR certification!

Mommy & Me: Music and Art
Developmental skills for life are learned through these active classes taught by a specialist. We dance with scarves, trot like horses, learn rhythm patterns and sounds of nature, plus get introduced to one band or orchestral instruments each week. After 30 min. we move to a simple art project designed to work on hand/eye coordination, abstract thinking, learning colors & much more. When students are done with art we have play/social time to work on sharing, taking turns, plus both kids and adults make friends!

Public Speaking
Give your child a place to build confidence in speaking to people in everyday life as well as at a podium with a mic. This class will allow students to learn how to be a positive voice in their world by working on clearer diction, learning where to look, and putting emotion into their piece. It's an outlet to read poetry by Maya Angelou, recite a speech by a past President, or even read their own story to an audience of parents on the last day of class. Musical Theater
This class will give your child a platform for growing confidence and focusing energy as he/she acts and sings in a short production of Wizard of Oz. It is specifically designed for many of your children to be able to attend together and everyone will have speaking lines &/or songs to sing in. Beginning Piano
This course is designed for students who want to develop basic piano playing skills. Passion and a genuine love for music are inspired in each lesson which is filled with practical theory concepts, providing students with the essential understanding of the language of music with "hands on" applications. Voice and Bell Choir
Your child will love being a part of this class where they will be coached in both singing in a choir and playing the hand bells together. The bells are colored, so the students learn to focus their attention on a chart to follow to create a great song. Taekwondo
Taekwondo is a fun way for children to get fit and to learn focus, discipline, respect, perseverance, and self-defense skills. Students who take our program are often able to focus on school work better, and their improved confidence and skills help them deal with difficult social situations, such as getting bullied. Taekwondo is a Korean martial art that focuses on kicks, and our instructors are passionate about helping every student do their best to reach their potential. Our program focuses on TKD basics, as well as general fitness.

Chess Club
Make the right move for your child this school year! Chess develops your child's reading and math ability, critical and analytical thinking skills, and builds character and self-esteem. But don't tell the kids...they think chess is fun! Our Chess instructors and coaches are not only exceptional chess players themselves, but they have a passion for sharing their knowledge with children. They have years of chess playing experience, tournament experience, and the passion to keep the kids entertained! Join us for After School Cheer Club open to grades K-5th!! Cheerleaders will learn the fundamentals of cheer and dance technique including stretching, jumps/kicks, beginner stunting, voice projection, cheers, arm motions, sideline dances and a full routine! Bricks 4 Kidz - LEGOŽ Robotics
Awarded #1 Children's Enrichment Program by Entrepenuer 2014, 2015 and 2016 - Students build new proprietary Bricks 4 Kidz LEGO projects each class (i.e. robots, cars, airplanes, amusement park rides and others) using Bricks 4 Kidz LEGOŽ one-of-a-kind model plans. Students explore principles of science, technology engineering and math while developing team, problem solving and critical thinking skills. The Bricks 4 Kidz LEGO builds vary depending upon student's age, experience, and skill level. We have beginner, intermediate and advance robotics' LEGO building that students love. Each student receives a FREE take home mini-figure build. The Fall, Winter and Spring sessions will have different LEGO models/themes with teacher led discussions.

Homeschool CPR Class
Homeschool CPR is a fun way for homeschooled students to learn how to save a life using CPR. There are no written exams involved and the class is very low key. By the end of the four-hour class, students will have the knowledge and ability to perform CPR! Students will also receive a certification card from the American Heart Association that's good for two years.

Tennis for Beginners at Laurel Park
At Laurel Park, we know that little kids like big fun. This junior tennis program is designed to introduce young tennis players to the fundamentals basic to tennis. Children develop self-confidence through a careful progression of tennis through games and drills designed to teach the basics and foster a love for the sport.
