POLICIES:

  • No refunds are given unless the coordinator cancels the course.

  • Classes are held based on enrollment. If a class is canceled due to low enrollment your registration fee will be refunded in the manner in which you paid.

  • Classes will not be held if the schools are closed or dismissed early due to inclement weather or other emergencies. Missed classes will be rescheduled.

  • Rain checks are issued before the start of the class, after class starts no rain checks are issued.

  • Registrations are accepted until the class is full.

  • It is the policy of the Marietta Board of Education not to discriminate on the basis of age, sex, race, color, religion, national origin, marital status, disability or any other legally protected status in its educational programs, activities or employment practices. Child and Babysitting Safety with CPR Certification
Join us for a fun filled adventure into the world of Babysitting. We will learn about setting up your business, including how much you should get paid. Learn about safety for yourself and the children you care for. We will also work on your magic bag of crafts, books and other essentials you should bring. We will address what information you will need to have about the children, emergency numbers and contacts. We will do lots of hands on activities: diaper changing, baby feeding, bath time, bed time, and CPR certification! THIS CLASS IS OPEN TO HOMESCHOOL STUDENTS.

BeatKnocks - Music Creation Lab
Camp BeatKnocks was birth out of a program from Artportunity Knocks as a camp from its Audio Academy. The Purpose of the Academy is to give students an overview of music production, music engineering and songwriting basics. In music production, students will learn how to create a song from start to finish. In music engineering, students will learn how to take an existing song and edit, mix, record, and sample. At the end of this 6-week program, students will have a better concept of song structure and the elements of being a music producer, as well as work in a mobile recording studio to finish their LIVE music project.

Intro to Game Making
Like to play video games? Now you can make your own arcade style game. Using drag and drop programming, you will learn how to create your very own game from beginning to end. Learn essential programming terminology as you create and program levels, objects, events, actions, health, sprites and everything else in the world of game creation. At the end of the course, students will receive their stand-alone game to share with friends and family, an edit version of their game, software install file and other cool downloads to use at home to keep building and programming. Soccer Club
How can your child learn the fundamentals and value of teamwork while getting a cardiovascular workout? Simple, in Soccer Club. Your child will have so much fun learning how to pass, dribble and shoot a soccer ball. The children will also learn how to work together to set up a successful defense. Beginning Piano
This course is designed for students who want to develop basic piano playing skills. Passion and a genuine love for music are inspired in each lesson which is filled with practical theory concepts, providing students with the essential understanding of the language of music with "hands on" applications. Students learn to read notes as well as play scales and understand basic musical theory concepts. Parents are asked to contact teacher to schedule lessons. A $10 registration fee required. Taekwondo
Taekwondo is a fun way for children to get fit and to learn focus, discipline, respect, perseverance, and self-defense skills. Students who take our program are often able to focus on school work better, and their improved confidence and skills help them deal with difficult social situations, such as getting bullied. Taekwondo is a Korean martial art that focuses on kicks, and our instructors are passionate about helping every student do their best to reach their potential. Bricks 4 Kidz - LEGO« Robotics
Awarded #1 Children's Enrichment Program by Entrepreneur 2014, 2015 and 2016 - Students build new proprietary Bricks 4 Kidz LEGO projects each class (i.e. robots, cars, airplanes, amusement park rides and others) using Bricks 4 Kidz LEGO« one-of-a-kind model plans. Students explore principles of science, technology engineering and math while developing team, problem solving and critical thinking skills. The Bricks 4 Kidz LEGO builds vary depending upon student's age, experience, and skill level. We have beginner, intermediate and advance robotics' LEGO building that students love. Each student receives a FREE take home mini-figure build. The Fall, Winter and Spring sessions will have different LEGO models/themes with teacher led discussions.

Tennis for Beginners at Laurel Park
At Laurel Park, we know that little kids like big fun. This junior tennis program is designed to introduce young tennis players to the fundamentals basic to tennis. Children develop self-confidence through a careful progression of tennis through games and drills designed to teach the basics and foster a love for the sport.
