  • No refunds are given unless the coordinator cancels the course.

  • Classes are held based on enrollment. If a class is canceled due to low enrollment your registration fee will be refunded in the manner in which you paid.

  • Classes will not be held if the schools are closed or dismissed early due to inclement weather or other emergencies. Missed classes will be rescheduled.

  • Rain checks are issued before the start of the class, after class starts no rain checks are issued.

  • Registrations are accepted until the class is full.

  • It is the policy of the Marietta Board of Education not to discriminate on the basis of age, sex, race, color, religion, national origin, marital status, disability or any other legally protected status in its educational programs, activities or employment practices. Fox Trot and the Waltz!
Get back to the basics with two dances that have stood the test of time…the Fox Trot, the most classic of ballroom dances, and the Waltz, the oldest of ballroom dances. The dances are fun and simple to learn…and are excellent dances for beginners. In six short weeks, you will be elegantly gliding around the dance floor. Come meet new people and have fun as you learn to LOVE the Fox Trot and Waltz. Partner recommended, but not required. Leather sole shoes suggested.

Art Splash! Watercolor Painting from Photographs: For Beginners
Come for a fun night of watercolor painting and learn how to paint a scene of your choice from your own photographs! In this fun workshop, you will learn how to paint step by step using an easy technique that will help you concentrate on painting techniques without having to draw an intricate scene. These step by step projects will build confidence and offer the opportunity to create beautiful art beginning-to-end to take home or share with loved ones. Create colorful landscapes, delicate floral compositions, pet portraits, beautiful beaches and bustling city scenes while learning water color painting techniques. Bring several 8.5 x 11 copies of your favorite pictures and together we will choose the best one to transfer to watercolor paper. All materials provided, just relax, enjoy, and take home your masterpiece!

Needle Work
Learn to knit, crochet, tat and read patterns. The knitting project will be to create you own toboggan hat. You will learn how to cast, knit, purl, rib stitch, and decrease stitches in this project. The crochet project will be learning granny squares. You will learn how to chain, slip stitch, single and double crochet. For Tatting, we will do a single color single ring edging. If you are advanced returning student, you may pick your own project and move forward. We will also dye yarn in one of our classes!This class is for all levels! All beginning patterns are provided by the instructor who has over 55 years experience.
